Knysna Golf Club hosted the second Southern Cape Junior Foundation event of the year last week, great to see their new clubhouse is almost completed after fire destroyed it a few years ago. The course is a wonderful old style golf course – not very long but accuracy off the tee a necessity because the greens are small and the pins are not easily accessible coming out the rough.
Daniel has shown steady progress in his time at KeNako but Sunday was a big leap in performance, he shot 68 and although it is a superb score the manner in which it was made was very impressive. He applied the disciplines he has been practicing and his distance control with his irons were spot on leaving him with quite a few birdie opportunities. Keeping one’s head still when putting in competition as we all know is not easy and it was one of Daniel’s weaknesses which he has worked hard on and he is seeing the benefits of constructive practice.
Well done Daniel and keep up the good work.
