Bramble Hill Junior Golf Academy is a high-performance golf boarding academy that combines world-class golf training with world-class academics. Our goal is to create the opportunity for student-athletes achieve their full potential both on and off the golf course.
World-class Academics
Program Description A full-time program for school Grades 8 – 12, where learners combine intensive high performance golf training with quality education. Students study the International Cambridge system with McKinlay Reid International School. McKinlay Reid offer student-athletes a flexible option, enabling them to study alongside their sporting commitments. These students are mentored to adapt their study time around their tournament schedule. The students spilt their days between the classroom, the range, the gym and the golf course
Golf Memberships
All enrolled Junior Golfers receive memberships at the Kingswood Golf Club ad George Golf Club. Transport is offered to our junior golfers between activities in school, golf and the airport. SCJOOM tournaments’ transport is also provided to the golfers.
Coaching and Assessment by professionals
Players undergo evaluation process by professionals before coaching plans are put into place. An ongoing process of evaluation and training continues, using oncourse performance as the major criteria. Our professional team employs expertise to help students with their performance development. Achieve your dreams on and off the field with our unique approach to excellence and discipline:
- Performance Training Technical Training – Players receive world class coaching, training is skill based, with technical support is provided.
- Golf Fitness – Students receive regular group and individual training in golf fitness and physical literacy. Supervised gym instruction is provided to golfers, with sport nutrition advice.
- Mental and physical Conditioning – Students receive weekly mental and physical conditioning sessions to ensure optimal performance and injury management.
- Tournaments – SCJOOM tournaments are facilitated. Tournament Management is provided for national and international tournament.
University support and placement advice. help them to achieve their dreams of a successful playing career or a scholarship to US College.
Boarding House
Our Boarding Facility is located just 3.5km from the academy, and close to all main golf courses. Tramonto Venue offers comfortable living with wonder student areas and open spaces. This soon to be developed area will offer a home away from home for our student-athletes. Single and shared rooms are available on a first come basis. Transportation and meal options are also provided. All options include cleaning services, laundry, linen supplied and three meals. See our schedule of fees for costs.
Enrolment Requirements
- Successful completion of the previous school grade with the required entrance assessment
- A passion and a talent for golf. Lower handicaps are given preference.
- All applicants must undergo an interview and game evaluation.
- R800 for Application, Interview & Golf handicap proof.

World-class Academics
Gap year students can choose to upgrade their Grade 12 to a Cambridge A Level qualification. This qualification is world-renowned and offers opportunities world-wide. Students can also choose to complete a PGA Qualification, Turf Management course, Business Management, and Culinary Skills. These courses are excluded from the gap year programme costs, this options pricing is provided on request.
