KeNako Academy’s youngest student Kyle Barker had a fantastic win at Oubaai at the end of May. 9 Schools from the SWD Region sent a team to play in the SWD Primary Schools Championship qualifier. Each team was represented by four players.
The boys represented the best junior school players in the Southern Cape region including most of the Southern Cape U12 team. Kyle, who is a Grade 7 student at Glenwood House School and who joined the KeNako Academy student programme at the beginning of 2011, played an outstanding one over par gross score from the men’s tees for the 9 hole competition and was the Overall Individual Winner. Kyle is from Johannesburg and was an excellent all round sportsman, but decided at his young age that golf is his passion.
He is making excellent progress at KeNako and he is a boy with a bright future. Well played Kyle!
