Xillan Nel shot an excellent 69 to win the KeNako Junior Series tournament played at Oubaai by 2 shots from Jack Duthie.  Xillan reached the turn in an outstanding 5 under par 31 before making 2 double drops on numbers 10 and 12 to give the rest of the field a chance.  However, he managed to get his game back together and made another two birdies to play the back nine in 38 shots and win.  Duthie, one of the top junior players in the Southern Cape, had played steady golf to score his one under par 71.

In the nett division young Alex van Wyk scored an excellent 84 off his 15 handicap for a nett 69 to win by 3 strokes from Christian Els, who had shot a 74 off his 3 handicap to finish 2nd with a nett 71.

The KeNako Junior Series has been established to allow the junior players in the Southern Cape an additional opportunity to play competitive golf every month.  Scores from the KeNako Junior Series count towards to Southern Cape Junior Order of Merit rankings.
