Final Day Underway

Only one player, Marcel Lamade of Germany, managed to break par amongst the morning starters at the final day of the 2013 KeNako SA World Juniors tournament.  Lamade showed improvement each day of the tournament and played well in his final round.  He reach the turn in level par, offsetting 2 drops with birdies at holes 7 and 9 and then made 3 birdies and a single drop shot on the back nine holes.  Two players managed level par rounds, Lucas Knecht of Switzerland and Theunis Bezuidenhout from Rustenburg Golf Club in North West province of South Africa.

The leaders have only just started their rounds and HP van der Merwe has taken the early lead after birdieing the first hole to lead by one.  Van der Merwe is now 4 under par for the tournament.  Joint overnight leader Cameron Davis from Australia has got off to a slow start with 2 bogeys in his first 3 holes to fall 3 shots behind the leader, a position he shares with his countryman Blake Windred who is 1 under par after 4 holes.  Jovan Rebula of Serbia has also started well and he too is 1 under par after 4 holes and now tied second with Samuel Schiff (Switzerland) and Ben Follet-Smith (Zimbabwe).
