Southern Cape Junior Order of Merit 17th March 2013

The final Southern Cape Junior Order of Merit event for the term was held on Sunday at the well conditioned Kingswood Golf Estate. The event was well supported with 84 juniors making up the field and they were treated to perfect golfing weather.

Johan Oosthuizen is a KeNako student playing off a 4 handicap and has shown steady improvement this year producing consistent results in the various tournaments he has played in. His confidence levels have risen and he had his best ever result in the Southern Cape on Sunday shooting an even par round of 72 to finish a creditable second. Young Jovan Rebula had another fantastic round of 69 to win the event – his second junior win of the term.

Notable performances from the KeNako students include Aidan Boon who shot a 73 and Caylum Boon and Hayden Garcia both shot 76. John Bang won the B Division best nett to win his first ever golf prize and Charnay Williams finished second in the B Division Gross competition.

The students have all gone home for the Easter Holidays but many of them are playing in the National Order of Merit events over Easter and KeNako wishes them all the best and will be watching the results with interest.

Good luck guys – keep your ball on the short stuff.
