Cameron Moralee Returns to Form

The youngsters in the Southern Cape recently had the pleasure of playing a KeNako Junior Series Southern Cape Order of Merit event at the wonderful Oubaai Golf Resort.  They arrived at the course on a perfect morning with the course in great condition.  The KeNako students are members of Kingswood Golf Estate and Oubaai Golf Resort so get to play Oubaai a little more regularly than the other juniors but KeNako student Cameron Moralee still enjoyed a return to form on a course he does enjoy.  Cameron shot a very good 70 to win the event by 5 shots.

Cameron’s game is continuing to show very good progress even though he has gone through a tremendous physical growth spurt over the last year.  There is quite often a noticeable dip in form when teenagers go through a growth spurt as they get used to their ‘new’ bodies.  Frustration and impatience is often a by-product of the physical changes, but Cameron has handled this phase of his development very well and full marks to him for his wonderful attitude – he tends to accepts mistakes and get on with it far more than many other juniors.

Other highlights included the performances of KeNako’s Phumlani Maluka and Alan Lones’ – they finished joiny runners up spot with Phumlani winning the count back.  This is Phumlani’s best result in a junior event and Alan’s performance confirms his progress which has been outstanding this year.  Charnay Williams continues to impress and after a poor front nine holes she came back in 36 to win the B Division.  Well played boys and girls and keep up the good work!
