3 KeNako students travelled to Port Elizabeth for the Border/Eastern Province Strokeplay Championship played at Port Elizabeth Golf Club this past weekend.  All 3 students hail from the Eastern Province/Border region and participation in this tournament is crucial as they strive to make their respective provincial teams.  2 of the boys, Jade Buitendag and Andre Nel, have joined KeNako Academy on the School Leaver program for 2014.  The third player, 16 year old Alan Lones, joined the KeNako Academy program at the beginning of 2013.

Jade finished in a Tie for 2nd Place with three excellent rounds of 73, 68, 68 and a final score of 7 under par.  Alan finished 3 over par and tied 23rd (77, 74, 68) and Andre was 6 over par for the 3 rounds and finished 33rd (78, 69, 75).
