Jacqueline Mourice has taken over the daily task of keeping the KeNako students satisfied!
This is Jackie’s fifth year at KeNako – initially assisting in the kitchen – Jackie now heads up the ominous task of cooking for, and satisfying, the hostel students at KeNako. Jackie is passionate about children and about cooking. She loves the interaction with the kids and enjoys their continuous feedback on the meals – which as you can imagine varies quite considerably!
Jackie believes she got her passion for cooking from her mother. Her mother cooked for a Jewish family for many many years and Jackie remembers helping her mother with the preparation of the dishes – and especially when there was a family celebration Jackie would go with her mother to help at the function.
Married to Rowlen, they have two children, Roewayne 26 and Hugh, 18 years. Jackie grew up in Pacaltsdorp and worked for Ackermans for most of her adult life. Her initial position as a Sales Assistant, then as a Stockroom Supervisor and finally as a Visual Merchandiser.
KeNako is very excited to have Jackie heading up the Kitchen and the students are loving her nutritious, homestyle cooked meals. KeNako enjoys the passion and energy that Jackie puts into her position and the enthusiasm that she shows the students.
She continues to work togeteher with the “Chef” team in the kitchen at KeNako. Congratulations to Jackie on her promotion.
