Charnay Williams Wins Sanlam SA Women’s Amateur B Division Stroke Play Championship by 8 Shots!

Charnay Williams played in The Sanlam SA Women’s Amateur Stroke Play Championships for the first time and she has won the B Division by a whopping 8 strokes.  The SA Women’s Championships have been played at the Stellenbosch Golf Club this week.  Charnay has only been playing golf for just over 2 years – she was previously an excellent athlete whose speciality was the long jump.  She was offered the opportunity of joining the KeNako Academy program and she has never looked back.  Charnay will no doubt be competing in the main draw at the SA Women’s Championships in future years.  She is not only a budding young talent but she is also excelling in her academics at Rundle College.  Congratulations to this very likeable young 16 year old!  Her winning score would have placed her 47th in the A Division.
