KeNako Students Shine at St Francis Links NOOM

Caylum Boon and Franklin Manchest enjoyed career best results at a National Order of Merit (NOOM) tournament when they tied for 6th place at the beautiful but very challenging St Francis Links course in the Eastern Cape.  The tournament enjoyed some excellent weather but the very well manicured Jack Nicklaus designed golf course lived up to its reputation of being a tough test, even for the very best players.  Both Caylum and Franklin have performed consistently well in 2014 and it was good to see them taking their local Southern Cape form to a National tournament.  Both boys recently represented the Southern Cape U23 team at the IPT in Durban.

A total 6 KeNako students played in the St Francis Links NOOM.  Jabulane Mabilane also enjoyed a career best finish (Tie 17th), whilst Hayden Garcia did very well to finish in a tie for 22nd after posting a disastrous first round, followed by two excellent rounds of 75 and 74.  Aidan Boon finished tied 31st and Alan Lones did not enjoy the best of tournaments and finished 47th.
