Hayden Garcia was recently selected to play for the Presidents Team in the Challenge Cup Teams Tournament played at Cullinan GolfClub in Gauteng Province.  Hayden enjoyed an excellent week with some stellar performances.  On Day One he beat his oponent from the SA Junior Team 3 and 2 – he was 2 under par when he won his match.  On Day Two he won his match against Central Gauteng 4 and 2 and he was 4 under par to win this match.  On Day Three he was a fantastic 7 under par when his match ended with a 4 and 3 victory against SA Universities.  On Day Four he suffered his only defeat of the week when he lost 2 down to his oponent from Western Province.  Finally on Day Five he halved his match against North Gauteng, so ending his week with 3,5 points out of a possible 5 points against some of South Africa’s top amateur golfers.
Hayden joined the KeNako Academy program at the beginning of 2013 and his golf has continued to show steady improvement.  He turned 17 earlier this year and he is now in his second year of IGCSE’s at Rundle College.  Congratulatons Hayden – the professional team at KeNako Academy looks forward to seeing even better results moving forwards!
