Azelia Meichtry Leads Nomads WGWP Junior Championship 2015 by 7 Strokes After First Round

17 Year Old Azelia Meichtry, a champion golfer from Switzerland who joined KeNako Academy on 2nd January this year, leads the Nomads WGWP Junior Championship 2015 by 7 strokes after the opening 18 holes played on Saturday.  Azelia travelled to Cape Town from George on Friday and did not have time for a full practice round but she still played some excellent golf, making par at each of her first 9 holes.  She birdied the 2nd hole (her 11th hole of the day) before dropping her first strokes of the day at the 6th and 7th holes, but she responded well with another birdie at the 8th to complete a level par round of 72 at the Durbanville Golf course in Cape Town.  Woo−Ju Son is in second place after a 79 followed by Manon Lasalarie from Reunion in 3rd place.  The girls play 36 holes on Sunday in this prestigious 54 hole tournament.
