Andre Nel and Jade Buitendag finished in a tie for 3rd place in The Pro Shop Northern Amateur Championship played at Randpark Golf Club.  Andre had an excellent third round 67 and went into the final round with a 5 shot lead but he finished with a disappointing 75 to drop back into third position.  It is the first time that Andre has led one of South Africa’s major amateur championships going into the final round and he will learn from this experience.  After a disappointing third round 74, Jade made a 2 under par 70 in the final round to tie Andre at 280, 8 under par.  Cameron Moralee enjoyed an excellent tournament after a poor first round 76, scoring 68, 69 and 70 in the next 3 rounds to finish at 5 under par 283 and tie for 8th place.  This was a really good come back from Cameron.
