Azelia Meichtry Wins Curro South African Juniors International

Azelia Meichtry triumphed in the Curro South African Juniors International, winning by 3 shots from defending champion Kaleigh Telfer from South Africa.  Azelia played the final round in 2 over par to finish the tournament at level par 216.  In her victory speech Azelia made special mention of the professional team at KeNako Academy – thanks very much Azelia!  We’re really pleased that we have been able to make a positive contribution to your golf and your life!

We quote herewith some of comments made by Azelia in her interview with the media after her victory.  “I am so excited to win this championship, especially against such a strong field of international players.”  “I learned a lot during my two months at the KeNako Academy and my mental and physical game has definitely improved a lot.” (Azeila arrived at KeNako Academy at the beginning of January).  “Even when I made the double bogey at the 12th I just kept on focussing on the next hole.”  “The academy taught me how important it is to have balance in your life.  I missed home, but I made a lot of friends.”
