Caylum Boon Shot a 2nd Round 67 to jump to a tie for 9th in the Curro South African Juniors International being played at Durbanville Golf Club. Caylum had scored a 78 in round one when he was unfortunately drawn in the afternoon field who experienced the worst of the windy conditions, but he rallied with an excellent round of 5 under par to play himself back into contention. Caylum is 4 shots behind the leader.
Other KeNako students who also moved up the leaderboard on day 2 include Hayden Garcia (tied 16th), whose second round 69 included a triple bogey 7 at the 2nd hole (his 11th hole); Franklin Manchest second round 70 (tied 23rd); and Julien Sale (72) and Alan Lones (69) who are tied 28th after round 2. Alan had scored a 67 but was unfortunately penalised 2 shots prior to signing his card when it was discovered that after consultation with his marker they had mistakenly allowed Alan to drop incorrectly at one hole. Next time Alan will no doubt call for a Rules Official!! We wish the boys good golf in the 3rd and final round!
