Caylum Boon has won the Southern Cape Junior Matchplay Championship played at The Links golf course, beating fellow KeNako Academy student Henry Anderson 1 up in the final. The contest went down to the final green. Henry was dormie 3 but he won the par 5 16th hole with an eagle and then at the par 3 17th hole Caylum 3 putted to bring the match back to one up going up the par 5 18th hole. Henry hit the 18th green in 2 shots and Caylum had to get up and down, sinking a 12 foot birdie putt to halve the hole with Henry and win the match. Congratulations to both boys on making the final and well played Caylum on your excellent win!
