Caylum Boon won his round of 32 match but then lost to Matt Saulez in the round of 16. Caylum continues to improve and rise up the national rankings. In October last year (2016) Caylum was ranked 147 in South Africa and prior to the start of the WP Championship his national ranking was 18. 

He had improved to a national ranking of 18 prior to the start of the Match Play Championship. Well done Caylum – keep working hard!! KeNako Academy old boys Franklin Manchest and James Pennington both made it through to the Match Play Championship but both lost in the round of 32.
