Besides winning the Oubaai Club Championships over the weekend, Caylum Boon was announced as Oubaai Golf Club’s Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. Highlights of Caylum’s year included a second National Tournament victory at the EP Strokeplay, a course record 11 under 61 in the Simola Open and a trip overseas that saw him compete in the Lytham Trophy at Royal Lytham and St Annes (where he was one of three South Africans accepted to play), the Irish Amateur and the Australian Amateur, where he finished 11th.
