Congratulations to the Rundle College First Team who brought the trophy home in the recent 2022 KeNako Schools Golf Festival. The team played some good golf during the three-day tournament to win the event for the 8th consecutive year. Rundle won the medal division by 5 shots against St John’s College who finished in 2nd place.
Congratulations to Paarl Gimnasium golfer Hennie de Villiers who won the Individual Medal Division. Hennie shot 3 under par 69 at Kingswood Golf Course, 79 at Oubaai Golf Club and level par 72 on the final day at Mossel Bay Golf Club to total 220. This is the third tournament Hennie competed in, he first participated in the event in 2019, he is currently in matric. Well played Hennie, and all the best with your final school year.
Well done to Warick Williams from Trinityhouse High School and Ruan Jacobs from Paarl Gimnasium on winning the Stableford Division in the KeNako Schools Golf Festival. Warick and Ruan both scored 104 points to finish tied 1st in the Stableford Division. Well played!
We again would like to extend our gratitude to the host golf clubs for allowing the players to compete on their wonderful courses. It was great to tee off at Kingswood Golf Estate in perfect weather conditions on the first day of the tournament, Oubaai Golf Club definitely stood out as the toughest of the 3 courses and playing at Mossel Bay Golf Club was a great way to finish the tournament.
